Julian was inspired in his teens by the early acid house scene. He first listened to pirate radio stations in late 80's London and started buying records in Soho and the West End before clubbing in 1989 and purchasing turntables in 1990.
Since then he has played at various events, mainly in London but various parts of the UK and Ibiza. He has hosted shows on both pirate and internet radio stations since the early 1990's as well as working in record distribution doing sales / pre-sales and some A&R for companies such as Essential (BMG) and Greyhound in the late 90's / early Noughties.
In 2018 he had his first vinyl release Julian G - "As The Frost Sets In" on "Beyond The Pub Vol 1" (Cosmic Pint Glass Records) which garnered a Stamp The Wax "Premiere". In 2019 he did a remix for one of NYC’s early house music production kings, Freddy Bastone on No Filtr Records called "Black" featuring Ihsan (Julian Garnett Sbase Mix).
He is currently working on new music both on his own and as one half of P.A.T.H. and has recently returned to the airwaves after a few years away.
